07/15/2005 Translation of two medical device patents

This month a law firm sent us two PCT patents about medical devices to be translated into Japanese for filing at Japan patent office. We assigned two certified Japanese native translators who have experience in medical field on this project.

06/30/2005 Scientific paper translation, from Japanese to English

Recently we translated a scientific paper in the field of surface tension of polymer solids for a major consumer goods company. This is a paper published 20 years ago in Japanese but is still a very important paper often referred by researchers and scientists today.

06/15/2005 Japan is the No.1 country in the number of patents filed

We published the June issue of News Letters about the status and trend of Japanese and Chinese intellectual property rights. June 2005 issue focuses on the number of patent filed at Japan Patent Office, and concludes that Japan is the No.1 country both in the number of patents filed annually and in the total number of cumulated searchable patents.

05/20/2005 English to Japanese patents translation completed

Two patents in bioscience have been translated from English to Japanese for entry into national phase. These two patents are about using a novel substance to diagnose and treat human diseases. This is a very challenge project that requires both technical background and patent knowledge in addition to linguistic skills.

Two certified native Japanese patent translators with degree in bioscience and one checker were assigned to this project.

10/09/2004 Software Manual of 50,000 Words Completed

The Japanese-English software manual translation ordered by a major computer manufacturer has been completed this week.

To meet the product launch schedule, we only had one month to work on the document localization including the translation, proofreading and DTP. This was a very challenge schedule. We formed a team consisting of two translators, one proofreader who is also a software engineer, and had delivered the project on time.
